About UnicoDream

UnicoDream is a dream dictionary built as documentation rather than divination. Each entry covers one symbol, what it has traditionally been understood to mean, and the contexts that change that reading — the colour, the behaviour, the setting.

Why it exists

Most dream dictionaries online recycle the same short definitions without saying where any of them came from. A symbol can carry a Jungian reading, a folk reading, and a religious reading that flatly disagree, and collapsing them into one sentence loses the part that actually matters. We keep them apart and name them.

Who writes it

The site is maintained by the UnicoDream editorial team. We are not clinicians, analysts, or certified dream interpreters, and we think claims like that deserve suspicion in this field. What we do is documentation work: read widely, compare the traditions, note where they diverge, and write it down plainly. Our process is set out in full on How We Source Our Entries.

A note on the Indonesian edition

UnicoDream also publishes an Indonesian edition covering buku mimpi, a printed dream-book tradition in which each symbol carries an associated number. That numeric layer belongs to that specific cultural context, so it appears only there — never in these English entries, where readers are looking for meaning rather than numbers.
